Registration

For Returning Players with a username and password (if you forgot them I can send it to you):

  • Log in by pressing the “Existing Player Log In” button to the left of the page or clicking this link to RunYourPool.com.
  • Type in your username and password in the top right cell. If prompted, please confirm that you will once again be participating in “Veggie Games” pool this year.

IMPORTANT: Please do not re-register if you had registered in the past! We pay fees based on numbers of registrations and there should only be one registration per participant, which carries over from year to year.

For New Players, please follow the steps below:

Registration for 2024 will consist of three distinct steps which must be completed by the registration deadline of Thursday, September 5, 2024 (prior to kickoff of the opening game).

  1. Registration fee must be paid to the commissioner by this date.
  2. Player must join the online pool at this link – https://www.runyourpool.com/join/pool_info.cfm

    Select – I would like to create a NEW username and password to access this pool
  3. Player must declare his/her team name to the commissioner via email at VeggieGames@ptd.net. NOTE: Only one team per person is allowed!

Play

The general object of Last Man Standing is quite simple. Each week during the NFL regular season you select one of the 32 NFL teams. If that team wins, you are still “standing” and in competition for the next week. If your team loses, you are eliminated from further competition. The only caveat is that you can only use an NFL team once. There are 18 weeks in the regular season and each week and each week there are less players left standing than the previous week and those players that are left have less teams to choose from.

  1. Click Log On on the top right of this page to go to the Run Your Pool main page (or bookmark that page and go there directly in the future). On the top of that page, under “Pool Login for Existing Members”, enter your user name and password. From there, follow the menu items to make/change a pick or check reports.
  2. You may use an NFL team only once. You may have to successfully choose 18 different teams to remain “standing” at the end of the season. A report will be generated on the Run Your Pool showing a grid of which players chose which NFL team on which week as the season goes on.
  3. Play continues until one of the following situations:
    1. All but one player is eliminated and that player is the winner (King of the Hill)
    2. The few players left standing after a particular week all agree to end the season at that point and split the winnings
    3. The regular season ends (after week 18)
  4. In the extraordinary case where a game is cancelled, postponed to a future week, or otherwise not played (e.g. forfeited), members who picked the game will have their pick replaced with the biggest available favorite from games starting after your pick deadline. Members can change this pick if your pick deadline has not passed yet. NOTE: If a late game is cancelled last minute, this may result in a pick being assigned from an earlier game that has already been completed.

Weekly Submission

All submissions will be made online through RunYourPoll.com. There will no longer be submissions by email or phone. If you need, we will assist you in getting your account set up. But once the season starts, it is your responsibility to logon each week and choose an eligible team before the deadline. Failure to do so will result in elimination from further competition.

  • For most games, you will have until 1:00pm on Sunday to make your pick. Obviously, if you want to choose a team involved in a Thursday, Friday or Saturday game, you must submit prior to kickoff of those games.
  • You may change your pick, right up until the deadline
  • RunYourPoll offers many graphical reports to help make your choice easier

Winnings

  • Winnings will be the total of all registration fees minus 10% for admin and maintenance. The total number of registrations will be posted shortly after the registration deadline on September 8th
  • King of the Hill will receive all winnings except in the case where there are multiple players left standing after Week 17 where all winnings will be split equally
  • Players left standing in later weeks may agree to end the season early and split the winnings, provided that ALL players left standing agree to do so and it is approved by the commissioner
  • In the case where all players are eliminated (no one left standing) in the same week, we will revert back to the previous week and end the season there. All players who were standing that previous week will split the winnings equally.Ex. There are 3 players left standing after week 14. For week 15 they all choose teams that lose. The season is rolled back to week 14 and the 3 players split the winnings.

    • Bonus for Week 1

    During the first week of the 2024 season (September 5th through 9th) players may predict the total combined score for the game they picked. There will be several prizes awarded to the most accurate predictions:

    • $150 for 1st Place
    • $ 75 for 2nd Place
    • $ 25 for 3rd Place

    NOTE: $250 total will be awarded, so any ties will be split and prizes will cascade downward. This feature is completely voluntary and you must email the commissioner prior to week 1 to participate.
